Now I found my self asking for your help today. I have the financial director with some weird issue that I would like the community to take a look at it. By default, Excel ignores case differences between text in cells of your worksheet and the search text you enter in the Find What text box. To reset the Find and Replace to search across all formats again, click Format→Clear Find Format, and No Form Set will appear again between the Find What. Regarding the difference in row height between Excel 2011 and Excel 2016: Excel will automatically adjust the row The amount of padding used is slightly different between Excel 2011 and Excel 2016 for Mac. Now that said he's having some issues when he remote in form he's home on he's MAC. Our IT director wants to know the differences between Office for Mac 2011 versus MS Office 2013. The most concern is any compatibility issues between the windows version of Excel versus the Mac version. The error he's experiencing is not enough resources in this machine, error. I have found that in old website that Office is having issues with the new.XML file format when been accessed between Mac's and Windows environments. But this is an old entry on the website dated back to 2007. The version here is Office 2011 for Mac. Can anyone give me any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advantage for your help! What Mike said.i have several users on 2013 who run queries.make sure you install the correct version (32 or 64bit) for the OS you are using (they always recommend 32 bit even when it's wrong, install from defaults to 32bit, go to Additional Options for 64bit). 2013 gives crashes still on occasion while running some really big queries, and sometimes it has even lost data. However, 2011 for Mac has far less functionality than office for windows does, particularly in the macro department. My current favorite is still 2007 personally. Well it sounds like he is running some big macros.with SQL queries I am guessing? The error message he got indicates that the machine that was doing the processing ran out of RAM, depending on how he ran the program when he remoted in it could be his home machine or his office machine but I am guessing it's probably his office machine. There are HUGE differences in excel VB scripting and macros between 2013 and 2011 for Mac.namely.the OS. Any references to the file system will be different, and several of the functions and subroutines he's come to know and love are entirely different or gone.i would not suggest trying to switch between the two if you are using any kind of macros but particularly macros that refer to files, folders, or use any libraries besides the most basic. I would suggest looking into upgrading the machine that he was remoting in to, or just tell him to make sure when he is running queries that all other programs on the machine are closed and whatnot.whichever is better suited to the situation:p.
